I'm puzzled by the luxury brands who've chosen to partner on Quince's beauty marketplace. There must be some strong incentives in play.

Definitely. It's possible these luxury brands are interested in expanding their customer base to the under-30 demo through this partnership with Quince. So even if they don't make a profit, they'd at least get access to Quince's consumer behavior data and CRM infrastructure, which could help improve their marketing strategy in the long run.
